Cacao Scope Zaishui Art Museum

Cacao Scope

We collaborated with mischer'traxler in bringing this installation to life, highlighting a unique rainforest relationship. The cacao tree thrives in the warm, humid rainforest, providing food and shelter for a wide range of species, including endangered ones. The screen-based experience Cacao Scope offers visitors a mesmerizing glimpse into these tropical connections, enhanced by handcrafted mesh plants.
The installation is showcased at the Zaishui Art Museum in China—an extraordinary, nearly one-kilometer-long structure in an artificial lake. The museum presents artworks that explore the deep connection between architecture and nature.

Commisioned by mischer'traxler for Zaishui Art Museum in collaboration with Maria Kondratieva, Clemens Makoschitz and Cornelia Diomis.
