The term "Umweltverträglichkeitsprüfung" (Environmental Impact Assessment) might seem long, but it's a crucial tool for protecting the environment. It’s a process used to evaluate the environmental effects of projects, such as construction plans. Before approval, it aims to identify and prevent potential environmental damage early on.
In our explainer, we have represented the broad influences and impacts of an UVP (EIA) using simple and clear visual language. This makes the complex process easier to understand and highlights the importance of EIAs for environmental protection in a more accessible way.
